AI Case Study: PROOF Positioning

When Kansas City-based marketing research firm PROOF Positioning found its business growing beyond what it could manage with its current staff, they turned to Fluent Consultants to help them create an AI solution.

The Problem

One of the company’s core businesses is market research surveys. The qualitative results of each of those surveys was compiled by hand, with staffers creating categories for responses then entering each response manually into the correct category. Each open-ended survey analysis would take up to 12 man hours to complete.

With growth limited by current staffing, the company needed a solution that would help them scale without substantially increasing their staffing needs.

The Solution

After taking the time to understand the manual survey compilation process, Fluent recommended an AI solution that would compile the survey results, create categories for responses, then populate those categories with the counts from the surveys.

The AI application took typical open-ended project analysis time from 12 hours to 30 minutes. This allowed PROOF to eliminate wasteful part-time employee expenses and FTE management time all while increasing the speed of project delivery.

The Results

Since implementing the AI portal, PROOF has been able to cut unskilled labor time and they even created a new product because of the increased speed of project delivery.

An ongoing relationship with Fluent allows for continued tweaking of the AI portal to refine the results as more data is added.  Gooding says,
